It's not personal, it's just business
Birth of a Legend
Launched in 1996, the CITROËN Berlingo was the first small van of its kind. A commercial van with a special, integrated body style combining looks and functionality. From its innovative debut to the present day, the CITROËN Berlingo has never stopped moving forward. Now, the Berlingo has been enhanced with new creative technology features including a 7″ touchscreen, reverse camera, Apple CarPlay® / Android Auto® with voice control to make your van even more like a mobile office.
The CITROËN Berlingo immediately asserts a modern and robust personality for a commercial vehicle.
Fluid lines provide a dynamic and contemporary outline while retaining a reassuring character.
Thanks to its unique design, the class-leading CITROËN Berlingo van not only carries better than its competitors, but it looks better too.
Big on comfort, this is a serious work space. With ergonomic efficiency giving you a perfectly placed gear lever, height and reach adjustable steering wheel and a height adjustable driver’s seat.
Naturally this comfort zone is also highly practical. From the 4.1 Litre glove box behind the steering wheel, to an under seat drawer, you’ll find there’s a place for everything.
The CITROËN Berlingo range now comes standard with a 7” multifunction touchscreen which incorporates a reverse camera, Apple CarPlay® / MirrorLink™. Enhancing your mobile office, the Berlingo offers autonomous in-car smart phone integration for compatible phones and apps. The main benefit of the system is the enhanced safety as you don’t have to touch your phone while using either system, along with mirroring your phone’s satnav on the large touchscreen display.
You’re in unexplored territory with the CITROËN Berlingo’s load cabin and super-flexible capacity. Up to 850kg payload and seriously useful 4.1 cubic metres of inner space, you’ll be amazed at what you can fit in this small van.
There’s cruise control with driver adjustable speed limiter, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP) and reverse camera standard on all models. Safe, advanced, a protective work mate: in other words a CITROËN van.
Work just got a whole lot easier. The new, six-speed, ETG6 (Efficient Tronic Gearbox 6) transmission* with automatic or manual paddle shift mode, reduces driver fatigue with no requirement for clutch use – a priority for light commercial vehicles drivers.
*Available with L2 long body model only
The ETG Berlingo is further enhanced with a Euro 5 e-HDi engine which includes ‘Stop & Start’ technology and ESP as standard – contributing to the combined fuel use figure of 4.7L* per 100 kilometers.
The new drivetrain contributes to a significant one-litre per 100km saving in fuel economy over the similarly specified manual transmission, saving owners in the order of $300 per year* in fuel use alone.
*Fuel savings calculated using official ADR81/02 fuel economy figures, calculation assumes 20,000km a year at Sydney diesel average price of $144.8 per litre (NRMA fuel watch – 25/11/14).
The CITROËN Berlingo: It’s the latest chapter in a legend and the newest version of a famously hard working, practical and comfortable van.
The CITROËN Berlingo is more stylish than your typical commercial van, with a smooth profile, flowing lines and tough wrap around bumpers – not to mention that bold, instantly recognisable double chevron grill.
It’s easy to see out the back of the Berlingo with two asymmetrical rear doors with large glazed windows. There is even a rear window wiper so as weather conditions change, the Citroën Berlingo looks after you.
Eminently adaptable, the Citroën BERLINGO is available in two van lengths, L1 (up to 3.7 m3) or L2 (up to 4.1 m3).
The Berlingo is available with a new Look Pack option to enhance its style. Features of the pack include:
– LED daytime running lights
– 15″ ‘Airflow’ wheel covers
– Cornering fog lights
– Colour coded bumpers, mirrors, door handles and side rubbing strips
Work in your comfort zone. Get behind the wheel of your new CITROËN berlingo and you’ll quickly appreciate the tactile quality and finish of your surroundings.
There are no fewer than thirteen different storage areas in the main cabin allowing owners to conveniently store everyday work materials close at hand.
In the standard two seat configuration the second seat folds down to create a flat work surface and a removable 13 litre storage bin is located between the seats.
A storage compartment under the driver’s seat is ideal for those items that you need to access fast.
The full width overhead storage shelf is tailor-made for folders and paperwork. It ensures you always have what you need quickly and easily.
The Citroën Berlingo is ingeniously flexible so that anything you need to load and carry can be swallowed up without a headache.
Efficiency is also a keynote feature of the CITROËN Berlingo’s load carrying ability.
The CITROËN Berlingo was specially designed to easily carry two standard Euro sized pallets or one standard Australian sized pallet.
This makes loading and unloading cargo with a forklift quick and easy
For even greater load carrying versatility the optional 3-seater EXTENSO® cabin has a dual, multi-function passenger seat. The middle seat backrest can be folded forward to provide you with a desk on the move,
whilst the passenger seat base folds up cinema-style to accommodate a fragile load in the footwell.
You can fold the optional 3-seater EXTENSO® passenger seat completely flat to easily take on a load up to 3m on the short body version and 3.25m on the long body version.
The CITROËN Berlingo has been designed to make loading and unloading of cargo quick and easy.
This is achieved by the low sill height and large intelligently designed asymmetrical rear doors which swing open 180° - perfect for backing right up to loading bays.
The CITROËN Berlingo comes standard with large rear glazed barn doors.
The long body Berlingo comes standard with even more flexibility thanks to the left and right hand sliding doors, allowing you to easily access cargo from either side of the van.
Small business owners use their vans as their mobile office so it is so important that their van be practical, versatile and meet all of their needs. The Berlingo’s new 7″ Pioneer touchscreen perfectly encapsulates this philosophy.
The touchscreen is built in with Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto® functionality which offers autonomous in-car smart phone integration. The main benefit of the system is the enhanced safety as you don’t have to touch your phone while using either system.
Apple CarPlay® – CarPlay is the smarter, safer and more fun way to use a compatible iPhone in your Berlingo. CarPlay gives iPhone users an intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music and access messages with just a word or a touch.
Android Auto® – With Android Auto you can easily and safely access apps and services in your Berlingo with compatible phones. Via the simple and intuitive interface or voice commands you can browse and stream music or engage Google Maps for navigation and live traffic information without taking your eyes off the road.
With Bluetooth™, you can stream your music to the Berlingo’s audio system or use it to make and receive safe, hands-free phone calls. Or connect your device via the USB port.
The Berlingo is available with three engines:
– 72kW 1.6 petrol (L1 short body only)
– 66kW 1.6 HDi turbo diesel (L2 long body manual only)
– 66kW 1.6 e-HDi turbo diesel with Stop & Start (L2 long body semi-automatic only)
The Berlingo is available with a 5 speed manual (L1 and L2) along with the 6-speed ETG semi-automatic gearbox (L2 only)
The safety expert. Citroën Berlingo specialises in your safety. It’s packed with technology – both standard and optional – that’s working hard on your behalf.
The Hill Start Assist function makes smooth, safe hill starts a certainty. Linked to the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), it holds your vehicle long enough for you to shift from brake to accelerator and get going.
Electronic Stability Program (ESP) helps the driver keep the car under control even in the most difficult situations; using brakeforce distribution and engine speed to keep the car on course if it loses grip when cornering; coupled to the traction control system that immediately brakes the drive wheels in the event of skidding.
Parking your van shouldn’t add to the burden of a busy day. Optional rear parking sensors let you manoeuvre safely and quickly into the tightest spots, fully aware of hidden obstacles. Job done.
A driver’s airbag is standard on all models and up to three additional optional airbags can be specified, giving both front and lateral protection.
Dimensions of choice. DS 5 line begins with an exceptional, highly specified car and builds from this point. There is no sense of compromise, simply a personal choice to be made.
